The first track from the Official Dundee Football Club CD. Made to bring in funds for the club's Youth Development Fund... An old 'terracing' song given a modern update.
(Track pic is from one of the 'live' shows we did of the album. !)
lyrics
As I was comin’ doon the Overgate,
I met wi’ Johnnie Scobie,
and he says tae me, wid ye like tae see
the famous Dundee F.C. ?
So we made oor way tae the High Corner
and we had a pint thi'gether.
And the next we knew, it had gone half two
and outside was stormy weather.
So we had a dram, and anither dram,
for tae keep the cauld and the rain oot,
then he said tae me, "Hey it’s ten tae three!"
It wiz time tae go, and nae doot!
So we made oor way up tae Dens Park,
just tae see the famous eleven.
and when we got there, the terraces were bare,
but we gave United seven!
So if ever you are in this toon
and ye want tae see some maaaaaagic,
just at Dens you’ll see, one team in Dundee,
cos the other lot are traaaaaaaagic !!!
(First verse x 3 to end.)
